League Rules continued
Unsportsmanlike conduct penalty to a coach, player or spectator in any TLGHSLL game: 1) Receives 1 in a game: Reported to the District Vice-President 2) Receives 2 unsportsmanlike conduct yellow cards or one red card for unsportsmanlike conduct in one game: The coach and Program President/Athletic Director will meet with the District VP. The VP will discuss the circumstances with the game officials. The VP shall make a report to the District Conduct Committee that will determine if a reprimand is in order. 3) Player receives 2 unsportsmanlike conduct penalties; she will automatically be removed from the current and following games. 4) Receives 3 in one game: Forfeit of the current game. (This can be any combination of unsportsmanlike behavior with the coaches, players and/or spectators) 5) Receives complaints in more than 1 game: The coach and Program President/Athletic Director will meet with the District Conduct Committee to discuss the circumstances. The committee may give a reprimand, suspension or expulsion. Findings will be submitted to the Executive Committee of the TGHSLL for review. 6) If a coach receives 2 unsportsmanlike penalties in one season, that coach will appear/meet with the Conduct Committee and may be put on probation for a specific period of time. 7) Officials will fill out a form reporting any unsportsmanlike conduct and submit it to the District VP via email, phone or fax immediately following the game. 8) All reports/incidents will be outlined by the District VP and distributed to all coaches involved in the incident and the official’s area coordinator. 9) Coaches are permitted to file complaints for unsportsmanlike conduct even if the official has not penalized the player, coach or spectator. 24. 25. TGHSLL Code of Conduct ( click here for printable Microsoft Word form )Objective: To promote sportsmanship, fair play and respect for all members of the Texas Girls High School Lacrosse League. The Code of Conduct: · All TGHSLL members should play in the spirit of the game. · All TGHSLL members are to HONOR the game. Each person should respect the rules of the game and treat officials, opponents, teammates and coaches with respect. · The value of winning shall never be placed above the value of instilling the highest ideals of character. · The head coach shall act in a courteous manner and also shall endeavor in every way to achieve the same from players, coaches and parents. · One of the team’s coaches shall be designated the head coach. The head coach is responsible for making all decisions for that team not delegated specifically to the team’s game captain. It is the head coach’s responsibility to see that players and substitutes are equipped properly, both mentally and physically, to play. · Coaches are responsible for controlling their players, spectators and any other persons associated with their program. · Abusive, profane or violent behavior or language by coaches, players or fans at any League function will not be tolerated at any TGHSLL event. Behavior in this manner may result in member suspension or expulsion from participation or attendance at any League game or activity. The Conduct Committee(s) shall decide suspension or expulsion. · No alcoholic beverages or any intoxicating substances or intoxicated individuals are allowed at any League function. · A player must not conduct him/herself in a rough, dangerous or unsportsmanlike manner.

Signed: ___________________________ Program: _________________ 27. Game Length & General Field Layout and DimensionsThe high school girl's game is 50 minutes long, each half being 25 minutes. Teams are allowed one timeout per half. Women’s Lacrosse now has hard boundaries; there is still flexibility in the size of the playing area. The maximum playing area remains at 140 x 70 yards and the minimum playing area remains at 110 x 60 yards. The goals shall be placed no more than 100 yards and no less than 90 yards apart. There must be a minimum of 10 yards and a maximum of 20 yards of space behind each goal line to the end line. Note: Fields not meeting these specifications may be used if both coaches waive compliance
